ENNOVA engineers deployed continuous emission monitoring systems in CHP-1, CHP-2, CHP-3 plants of the Siberian Generating Company.
Within the framework of the Federal Project "Clean Air" and Federal Law of the Russian Federation No.219 of 21.07.2014 "On Improving the System of Rate Setting and Economical Incentives to Prevent Negative Environmental Impact," the Siberian Generating Company is upgrading its thermal power plants and deploying environmental monitoring systems at its enterprises.
In addition, in accordance with the Federal Law of 26.07.2019 No. 195-FZ "On Conducting an Experiment Concerning the Setting of Quotas for Emissions of Pollutants and Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on Reducing Air Pollution," Krasnoyarsk was included in the list of pilot cities, therefore, special attention is paid to controlling pollutant emissions into the atmosphere.
From 2019 to the end of 2020, ENNOVA implemented three turnkey projects for SGC at four emission sources. The engineers developed a complete set of documentation, received the required approvals, delivered the equipment, carried out construction, installation and commissioning, as well as the initial verification of the equipment and handed it over to the customer for commercial operation.
The projects used top of the line equipment and advanced innovative technologies, with the localization percentage being at least 70%. The equipment was made by Eurotechlab, one of the benchmark manufacturers of continuous emission monitoring systems for flue gas.
"If we speak about construction and installation activities, our specialists have prepared the sites for the installation of equipment. They made the foundations, laid power and data cables from connection points to containers, installed protective trays along smoke stack shafts from the base to the measuring plane, drilled reinforced concrete stack pipes to install embedded parts. After equipment delivery, the work was carried out to install and connect it. Upon completion of the installation, commissioning works were carried out together with Eurotechlab, as well as individual and comprehensive tests of the equipment with functional testing of each element, for their interaction and correctness of the readings provided by the systems, training of operational personnel in order to familiarize the employees with the rules for operating this equipment. All complexes were put into joint pilot operation based on the results of the completed commissioning. At each of the facilities, a specialized organization, the D.I. Mendeleev All-Russian Institute for Metrology, carried out initial equipment checks using reference equipment after which the certificates of verification of the systems were received, and the systems were included in the Register of Measuring Instruments of the Russian Federation," said Evgeny Kolesnikov, project manager from ENNOVA.
Equipping the sources of flue gas emissions with automatic emission control systems is one of the key areas of activity of the engineering company ENNOVA JSC, which is a part of the Machine Building Factory of Podolsk (ZiO) group of companies. A number of projects were implemented to fit the systems of automatic emissions control, including such power plants as Karmanovskaya power plant (Inter RAO), Usinsk oil field (LUKOIL-Komi), Reftinskaya power plant, Krasnoyarsk CHP-1, CHP-2, CHP-3 plants (Siberian Generating Company); equipment was supplied for Toparskaya power plant, Zhezkazgan CHP plant, Balkhash CHP plant (Kazakhmys Energy) and Udarnaya TPP (Technopromexport), works are under way to fit the equipment for the system of automatic emissions control for EVRAZ ZSMK steel mill.
It is worth mentioning that the engineers from ENNOVA developed design and estimate documentation for the new smoke stack H = 275 meters for the Krasnoyarsk CHP-1 plant, which was put into operation in the summer of 2020.
