Smoke-stack commissioning is a landmark event for the region and the Siberian Generating Company (SGC). Alexander Uss, the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, and Stepan Solzhenitsyn, SGC CEO, attended the smoke-stack launch event.
It is worth mentioning that today the smoke-stack at the Krasnoyarsk power plant is one of the highest in Russia.
According to SGC press service, three boiler units have been connected to the new 275 meter high stack, three more boilers will be added by the end of the year. The specialists will continue equipment commissioning and setup for a month.
It was a very interesting and challenging project for our company. ENNOVA engineers had developed a very good design, which was noted by Oleg Petrov, technical director of SGC, who also thanked the design engineers for their highly professional approach to the work. "I would like to emphasize that in this project a lot of complicated engineering challenges have been addressed, including the issues related to the region seismicity. Moreover, we have solved the issue related to gradual connection of flue gas ducts at the operating power plant," added the director. Oleg Petrov made specific mention of the project chief engineer Evgeny Potekhin, who had done his best working in this project. "I am proud of the fact that the specialists of our company, and, in particular, the engineers from Plot Plan and Transport Department, Construction Department, Utility Systems Department, DCS Department, Hydraulic Structures Department, Cost Estimates Department, and Documentation Release Department took part in such a landmark event as the smoke-stack launch at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1. However, we would not have been able to accomplish all this without our partners, with whom we have closely collaborated working side-by-side, namely, SibPSK and ZiO-COTES,” said Anton Milto, CEO of ENNOVA.
ENNOVA has not only developed design and estimate documentation, but also has supplied and installed an environmental monitoring system. By now, all equipment has already been assembled at CHPP-1, and gas analyzers and sampling equipment have been installed. The system is currently being adjusted. The specialists from the Turn-Key Projects & Sales Department were very focused on this task. Evgeny Kolesnikov, the chief specialist from the department, has spent a long time at the power plant keeping track of the construction and installation activities.
"An excellent job done at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 has once again shown us that ENNOVA employs not just good professionals in their field, but people who know how to work together applying all their strength and knowledge," said Anton Milto.
